Cost of Driver’s License in Ontario

In Toronto, you don’t need a car to get around. Excellent public transportation and car share options like zipcar and Car2Go are sufficient for shopping, socializing and getting to work. But we don’t blame you for wanting a bit more independence. Getting out of the City for weekend excursions or visiting long-distance family is certainly easier with your own set of wheels.

To drive in Canada, you’ll need to get your driver’s license at a ServiceOntario location and you may be required to take knowledge and written tests at a DriveTest Centre, depending on whether or not you’re a new driver.
